Cello8
The octet of Talents & Violin’celles, Joël Rousseau patronage
Drawing on the vocal repertoire, Roland Pidoux, an eminent cellist, has signed the transcriptions of this programme intended for a particular ensemble: the cello octet, Cello8, an ensemble of young musicians created by Talents & Violon’celles. While remaining faithful to the harmonies chosen by the composers, he gives these pieces a different colour and plunges us into the infinite poetry of a lyrical repertoire stretching from Romanticism to the very last years of the 19th century.
The octet with its multiple polyphonies, halfway between a string quartet and a small string orchestra, is the ideal formation to bring out the best in as many young cellists as possible.
The Cello 8 Octet is sponsored by Joël Rousseau, a committed music lover who sees his sponsorship as an essential act in the direction of young people who need to be helped.
