Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC

Strongly involved in the development and influence of its territories, the Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC devotes nearly 2 million euros each year to culture and sport. After having made a strong commitment to Marseille Provence 2013, European Capital of Culture, it became a founding sponsor of the MuCEM. Supporting culture in all its forms, it provided assistance to La Fabrique Opéra Marseille Provence for its production of The Magic Flute in 2015.
The Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC has shown its support for the action of Talents & Violon’celles by acquiring a superb cello made by the violin maker Jérémy Chaud.

Jérémy Chaud was born in Briançon (Hautes-Alpes), and trained at the École Nationale de lutherie de Mirecourt with the greatest French and international violin makers. In 2007 he created his own workshop in Marseille, which would remain active until 2014. After a family break, he wanted to recreate his workshop in the Alpes de Haute-Provence, and the commission of the cello was of invaluable assistance for this new installation. This instrument, inspired by Antonio Stradivari’s “Marquis de Corberon” cello (1720), is the result of several decades of research.
