Pascale Jaupart
Pascale Jaupart, wife of our Vice-President and Artistic Director Raphaël Pidoux, left us on Saturday 23 June 2018. The whole team of Talents & Violon’celles was extremely saddened by this sudden death.
Pascale started playing the cello at the age of 12, and obtained the gold medal, the prizes of excellence, virtuosity and chamber music, at the Conservatoire nationale de région de Rueil Malmaison.
After studying cello in the USA with Janos Starker and Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Pascale perfected her skills with members of the Amadeus, Lassalle and Alban Berg quartets within the Amarcord Quartet, with whom she won third prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Illzach.
She also completed her viola da gamba training with Christophe Coin and Jordi Savall at the Escola Superior de Musica de Catalunya in Barcelona.
Pascale had devoted her career to the cello and the viola da gamba and has performed in numerous festivals and ensembles, notably the Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre Sinfonica de Galicia, etc.
Passionate about teaching, she has taught brilliantly at the conservatories of the 6th and 8th arrondissements of Paris, where all her pupils speak of her with respect and emotion.
Pascale was, from the very beginning of Talents & Violon’celles, an extremely precious support for all the actions pursued, both in the search for sponsors, instruments and the spotting of young talent.
